The Positive Duty Playbook

Your go-to guide for creating harassment-free, respectful workplaces.

You've got legal risk. Culture risk. And time constraints.

In 2022, the Sex Discrimination Act changed, impacting every business and leader in Australia.

But here’s the challenge:

  • HR teams are stretched thin.

  • Managers often feel underprepared or not equipped to manage workplace behaviour

  • Traditional training is slow, expensive, and often misses the mark - forgotten in a week

  • And most training? Boring, legalistic, forgotten in a week

You don’t need more compliance content. You need a real-world leadership toolkit that cuts through fast.

This isn’t traditional training. It’s leadership you can live.

The Positive Duty Playbook is a fast, focused and no-fluff audio program designed to equip leaders with the clarity and confidence to prevent harm and build trust, right now.

Created and narrated by Leigh Russell, an Executive Coach, Leadership Expert, Educator and Consultant. Leigh has facilitated hundreds of hours of traditional leadership programs and interviewed leaders and individuals impacted by sexual harassment across diverse industries.

Leigh brings deep, practical insight into what drives harm, what prevents it, and what real leadership looks like.

What’s Inside:

  • 7 short, sharp audio episodes - Straight to the point. Powerful insights. Just 7–10 minutes each.

  • Companion guides with leader reflection prompts + practical tools you can use - today.

  • Plain-English law breakdowns - Understand your obligations without the legalese.

  • Real-world actions - Proven strategies to prevent harm and lead with purpose.

This program cuts through faster, delivering the clarity and confidence leaders need to lead with impact — without the fluff.
This isn’t tick and flick training. This is how leaders build cultures of safety and respect.

Why choose RP&Co?

"This is the first time I've seen 'compliance' training actually shift leadership behaviour. The debrief session with Leigh was a fantastic way of consolidating what each exec had each heard and reflected on."

Sarah, HR Director

"Leigh cuts through the legal noise and delivers what leaders actually need - clarity, confidence, and action. This wasn't just useful - it was culture-shifting."

Will, People & Culture Lead

"The Positive Duty Playbook helped me realise what leadership looks like in this space. It's not about being perfect - it's about being present. Every manager in our business needs this."

Tom, Executive Leader

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Playbook for?

The Playbook is designed for anyone who leads people - from senior executives and people managers to HR and compliance teams. If you have influence over workplace culture, this is for you, regardless if you have been leading for a minute for for years.

What does the Playbook cover?

This 7-part audio series unpacks what Positive Duty means in practice. You’ll learn how to prevent harm, respond to disclosures, reduce legal and cultural risk, and lead a workplace that’s safer, fairer, and more respectful. Each episode is practical, relevant, and focused on what matters — no legal jargon, no fluff.

How long does the program take to complete?

The entire course takes approx. 90 minutes total — 7 short audio episodes (7-10 mins minutes each). It’s designed for time-poor leaders, and can be listened to on the go. Of course, you can re-listen to any episode and you have access for 12 months, so can come back to the content at any time.

How is this different from traditional compliance training?

This isn’t tick-the-box training. It’s leadership development with cultural impact. No quizzes or eLearning click-throughs. No lecture-style delivery. No content that gets forgotten a week later. It’s built by a leadership expert, not a legal firm - and it sticks because it’s made for the real world.

What's included?

• 7 audio episodes (download)
• 7 companion guides with reflection tools and action checklists
• Leadership self-assessment and knowledge check
• HR rollout toolkit (Team & Org licences)
• Optional live virtual debrief session to embed learning & team engagement

How long do we have access?

You’ll have 365 days of access to the program from the date of license activation.

How is the Playbook delivered?

Everything is online and self-paced — no downloads, no scheduling required. Each participant will be able to login and download the course content wherever they are.

We recommend teams listen at the same time and follow up with a short debrief session. That way, everyone can reflect together and apply the insights more effectively. Of course, every team works differently — you’ll know what suits yours best.

You don't need more policy. You need the Playbook.

Safety isn't built by documents. It's built by everday leadership - and that starts here.
